Judge William Scully
Baldwin County District Judge

​Bill Scully is a Baldwin County District Court Judge.  He was appointed in 2017 to fill a vacancy on the court.  He was elected to the position in 2018, and again in 2024.  At the beginning of 2025, Judge Scully became both the Presiding District Court Judge (upon the retirement of Judge Michelle Thomason), and Presiding Juvenile Court Judge (as Judge Carmen Bosch prepares for her retirement).

Judge Scully is 68 years old, has been married to his trophy wife, Donna for the past 45 years.  They have three children:  Elizabeth, age 36, Christina Krob Age 38 (married to Tyler Krob and they have two children).  You are also acquainted with their son, Liam who is an attorney in Baldwin County.  He is married to his wife, Anna and they have two kids as well. 

Before becoming judge, Scully practiced law for many years in Baldwin County.  He is a retired colonel from the Army Reserve JAG Corps.  He is an alumnus of Indiana University and Washington and Lee Law School.  A long-time member of the Eastern Shore Sertoma Club and a parishioner at Christ the King Church in Daphne, Alabama.  In their spare time, he and his wife enjoy ballroom dancing, and he will be happy to demonstrate if Barbara Wheeler is here and willing.

 

 

 

Anthony E. Lowery
Baldwin County Sheriff

Personal Life
Sheriff Lowery has been married to Tonja Lowery for 28 years. They have 2 children, Avery and Camryn.
Sheriff Lowery and his family have a family-owned pharmacy in Elberta they have owned for 20 years.

Sheriff Lowery is a charter member and past president of Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary. He has received a Paul Harris Fellow award.

Professional Life
Sheriff Lowery was appointed as Sheriff of Baldwin County by Governor Ivey, September 1st, 2024.
Sheriff Lowery previously served as Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy from December 2018 to August 2024.
Sheriff Lowery began his tenure with the BCSO in 2007 as Civil Affairs Commander where he promoted to Assistant Chief Deputy of Law Enforcement Operations in 2013.
Sheriff Lowery was an investigator and chief investigator for the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office for over 10 years.
Sheriff Lowery is a graduate of Session #252 of the FBI National Academy. He served as president of the Alabama Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates, which was an eight-year commitment.
Sheriff Lowery is a graduate of Session #80 of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS).
Sheriff Lowery is currently the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Project Manager for the construction of the $70M female expansion of the Baldwin County Corrections Center. A project that started in 2020 and is set to be finished in mid to late 2025.
Sheriff Lowery is a member of the Baldwin County 911 Board. Currently serving as Vice Chairman.
Sheriff Lowery is a Charter Member of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Foundation. He has worked tirelessly to raise funds and assist numerous philanthropic groups through this foundation.
